In Zebegény you have a rather fancy little restaurant overlooking the square next to the railway station - with main dishes and limited portions - offering quality wine. It's called Vasparipa, which translates into Steel Steed!

They would perform on the first night after the first concert (so we win time for surf band to get ready) - their captivating show is full of symbology, mythology! A very stimulating act if audience is silent enough! It doesn't require much technical infrastructure! Very visual! Just gorgeous!
For the second day in the afternoon (12:00-16:00) we would hire a secretive character of Budapest's nightlife... hiding in the shadows. The great Maecenas / Mäzen of underground artists in the 1990s and 2000s!
He has been rarely seen in public eversince!
With his 8000 record collection of world - jazz - blues - electro - rock - and other genres he will surely be able to entertain a crowd crashing in the water after a fun night!

Officially it's called Élesztő Plázs Zebegény by now, since the Élesztőház (Budapest, Tűzoltó u. 22, 1094) people have a business running nearby: stage, caravan converted into serving drinks, beach volleyball grounds, playground for kids and benches.

of the event to Emma Heinzelmann, local event organizer and coordinator!
Recommended is also to hire a manager who can deal with all the technical equipment and band issues, as well as marketing. I just know the right guy for the job. An Italian bloke living in Budapest...
Yesterday we had negotiations with Emma Heinzelmann, offering us possible dates, especially for July! Between a child's and adult's camp we have 5 to 7 days to plan with.
Events are alerady booking dates for summer so let's stay sharp!
The SYNOPSIS of SUMMER RAD™ Emma appreaciated a lot and is looking forward to the cooperation!
Another additional benefit of her hosting us is that Szőnyi tábor / local art camp up on the hill named after Szőnyi, the artist who had his studio in Zebegény, downtown - now museum / can offer us accomodation!

Same night... After an album release evening combined with a costume party we were also able to track down the Italian manager, Vincenzo, who - after singing - surrounded by his fan base had only a couple of minutes to lament on our offer.
He signed up to help organize.

WE had the chance to meet the organizer of LEDPUPPETS at a house party for photographers, professional dancers, graphic designers, and so on... in the VIII. district above the city she contacted her group after a discussion last week! Soon we will have more info about their willingess!
In fact as planned they want to do their part on the first night, since after that they have to get back to Budapest to prepare for a performance on the 22nd, only a few days after our event, and much further away!

SO FAR WE HAVE LEARNED:
Additional info: Waldorf Feszt - rumours that it will be removed due to political climate change -, this event and it's current status launched the idea to fill the gap in first place. As it turned out last week - verified also by Emma H. today - there will be a Waldorf Festival in Zebegény also this year!!!
But it's taking place 1 month before ours!

We were sitting for 1,5 hours to go through all possibilities from the race to Élesztő Plázs, from necessary cables to accomodation in Szőnyi Tábor, bands of course, cooking and more.
Now with all the new information we can attend making personal contact with the cultural attaché of Austria stationed in Budapest, Hungary soon!
A more detailed listing of all updates the negotiations brought with Emma H. will be published soon. She was for examle very interested in a Steyr bicycle poster exhibition, bicycles for show, contacting locals in Dunakanyar - inviting families -, to learn the Austrian slap dance! - which will arouse Svabic Germans still populating Zebegény és Nagymaros villages! Add to that the open air cinema we can install.... meaning bicycle-generated electricity of course! Sustainability she sais is a good message!

This includes bedlinen and showering quarters.
SZŐNYI TÁBOR can give us a receit if we would like to deal with such paperwork.
We have to give them 30% of the total price till end of April: 82.800 HUF (276 EURO)
IMPORTANT: this time of the year somehow CAMPING (tents) ARE NOT ALLOWED!
STORAGE SPACE: we have arranged a decent room for bicycles
(for those we use for racing and those which are put to display on the beach during the day)
LOCATION FOR CONCERTS: ÉLESZTŐ PLÁZS with KROKODIL RÉT!
This area is run by Élesztő, a huge craft beer company having 3 bars in Budapest
and soon to open 2 more in Nagymaros and Zebegény. They will allow us to cook
(although they are serving beverges and food themselves, but this must be clearified)!!!
KROKODIL RÉT: stage with cover, beach volleyball field, bar, open field with grass and the EURO VELO 6 bicycle road next to us.
WE HAVE AGREED: that live music (noise) is only allowed till 22:00 (10PM)!!!
CONCERTS: we made clear it's enough to have one big performer on the first night and perhaps 2 on the next also focusing on the afternoon show with at least 2 DJs and 2 instrumental performances to entertain random guests arriving from nearby settlements!
1st concert: 17:00-19:00
2nd concert: 20:00-22:00
LAW, LICENSE, TRADEMARK: In Hungary you have ARTISJUS, a company specializing in getting money from everyone who plays in band, on radio, etc. checking the rights. We should be prepared they can easily show up demanding papers or a report on how the records got here and if the bands are playing their own songs or those of someone else. This means not that we have to send them the lyrics in advance (as during the Soviets pre-1989), but still it's a tough industry...

COOKING: should be donation based, since if we start asking for money in current Hungary it can cause tax complications. Location for the “bogrács” session will be undoubtedly Krokodil rét (the vendégtér, guest space of it)!
Plan is to buy ingreediences ourselves and give the cook and symbolic (honorary) sum.

Emma Heinzelmann wants us to bring at least one professional photographer so their organization can add the pictures into their portfolio (a list of events and artists they have managed to bring to their respected area)
smoebody needs to be the official organizer from our side – somebody who takes responsibility
if anything happens!
we have to figure out how to secure the location (bicycles, equipment for bands and DJs)!
Szőnyi Tábor organizers suggested we prepare an old school STEYR WAFFENRAD poster
exhibition for the event. This could be mounted at the stage, where also bicycles for show are standing.
Emma H. would be proud if we could manage to have the self-sustaining bicycle cinema ready!
The Svabic German village would highly appreciate if we could learn and perform the Austrian slap-dance! Of course in traditional outfits!

Thanks to DeerMan we have a platform for social media addicts to promote the event. This was also demanded by local organizers of Dunakanyar region, Hungary!
